Kaitlin, my friend Jen's daughter, is doing a year of mission work at the St. Francis Inn in Philadelphia. The St. Francis Inn is a Franciscan, Eucharistic community called to minister with the poor and homeless. Kaitlin invited a group of us to spend a weekend serving guests at the Inn. It was an amazing experience, filled with community, sadness, hope, and love.
The first shot is a view out their chapel window. The chapel is located right above the serving room -- a reminder that charity and love begins right here.
