I’ve known this couple (as a couple) for years, which is kinda funny to say considering they’re only 20.

They are part of a special group of kids my son knew in high school. The boys played baseball together. What’s amazing is that most of the players are still with their high school girlfriends. Actually, I should rephrase that — what’s amazing is that their girlfriends are still with them. :) Kidding, they’re all good kids. It’s just odd to see so many long-term relationships among young people. I love it. It is such a good thing. And it is a blast to watch them all grow together.

These two have been together for four years. After high school she joined the Army and he went to college, which separated them for the better part of last year. They are now attending the same university, however she is being deployed for nine months in January.

Thank you for your service April. You are an amazing woman.
