Maybe I'm biased.

But I just marvel at the wonderfuness and humanness of my clients.

Meet this family. Every one of them — and there was a lot of them — radiated general goodness. Because they were really good people.

The photo session was at their house.

This family went out of their way to make me feel at home.

At the risk of sounding sappy, I cannot adequately convey how overwhlemed I feel when families do this. I am in awe when I am accepted so openly, even if it is for just an hour.

If you think about it, a photography session is kinda an odd thing. It’s not natual at all. But time after time I see the immense capacity for love as people open themselves and their hearts and their souls to the camera and to me.

I have chosen a lot of photos to highlight this family. A lot are personal favorites, which, in my case (99% of the time) are black and white shots, and outtakes. I especially like mom and daughter wrapped it the blanket. My younger son tells me I need to get over the B&W. He thinks they are pretentious. I respectfully agree to disagree.

Anyway, enough about me.

Merry Christmas to this great and lovely family. Little Sage, in her super sweet flair jeans and even sweeter smile had us all wrapped around her little finger. But then again, so did all the adult children. And, so did Mom and Dad. Just good people all around.
