What Max Scherzer pitching with a broken nose and two black eyes taught me about business
It is amazing how exposed I feel when I post my photos. I am not posting pictures of me or my family or anything that outwardly shows any specific insight into my being, but at the same time i feel like I am posting nudes.
Lucky for you I am not. Haha.
Every picture I take has a little bit — or a lotta bit — of me. Not trying to be dramatic, just descriptive.
Fortunately for me, I have been given what I believe is a Divine gift of being able to separate myself from my pictures. So when I look at the pictures I take, it feel like someone has taken them. And for that, I am extremely grateful.
That being said, the pictures I post are still me. They are still personal. They show the world how I see things. When y’all like them, I am happy. When you don’t, I am sad. But I can’t necessarily do “better”. They are the world as I see it.
So tonight, as I sit here watching the beautiful ,and brilliant, and wonderful Max Scherzer pitch with a broken nose and two black eyes, i realize just how wonderful, and beautiful, and brilliant it is to watch someone put themselves out there 100 percent. No matter how broken they appear.
Whether Max wins or loses tonight, it is insignificant. He is Max.
