If you haven’t recognized a pattern yet, November was dang cold.

Which leads me to this photo session.

This family has a special place in my heart. They are incredibly warm. Open. Sunny. Just plain lovely. And they deserved a warm, open, sunny and just plain lovely day.

But alas, their session was in the middle of a long patch of cold and grey.

We met at Occoquan regional park. There were plenty of boats being docked to keep our young man happy, and I pulled out the bubble machine for his sweet little sister.

They all made the best of it - -because they are super chill. And open. And lovely.

I love the shot of mom and son, wrapped in the shawl. I know it’s moody, but she is one beautiful lady.
